What is Can Ton Xic?
Can Ton Xic is a historic 17th-century Catalan farmhouse located in the heart of the Guilleries-Savassona Natural Park, next to the Ter River and very close to the Sau Reservoir.
It is situated just 500 meters from the village of Tavèrnoles, at the foot of the Savassona Castle and Sant Feliuet de Savassona, a place where visitors can explore stunning natural and cultural landscapes.
Since 2021, Can Ton Xic has been operating as a camp house, offering accommodation for up to 98 people.
The house is open to leisure centers, scout groups, schools, high schools, music schools, percussion schools, yoga groups, sports teams and organizations, hiking clubs, families, and friend gatherings.
Who We Are and Our Origins
The Family
Can Ton Xic opened its doors in the summer of 2020 thanks to the effort and dedication of the entire Coll Bonjorn family: Maira, Cesc, and their two daughters, Maria and Mar. Both Maira and Cesc are leisure activity instructors and directors, hold degrees in English translation and interpretation, have master's degrees in marketing, and work as English teachers.
In 2001, we founded the company Fun and Learn (www.funandlearn.com) and have been organizing English camps in Catalonia as well as abroad (United States, Ireland, and England). Over the years, we have rented different houses in Catalonia to host our camps.
Finally, coinciding with our 20th anniversary, we saw our dream come true and opened our own holiday camp house, which remains open all year round.
Some of our core values and principles: respect and love for our environment and nature, preserving the rural surroundings, appreciating everything around us, and teaching all groups to take care of the forests and the animals that live in them.
The Counsellors
During the camps, we have a great team of certified counsellors who organize and coordinate activities for school camps.
In addition to our in-house counsellors, we also work with external instructors who assist with activities requiring special certification, such as natural rock climbing and rappelling, zip-lining, and kayaking.
The Staff
There is always plenty of work to do at Can Ton Xic. Our team includes staff who assist and attend the groups, cleaning staff, maintenance workers, gardeners, pool maintenance personnel, and administrative staff.
Together, we make sure that every stay at Can Ton Xic is unforgettable for everyone, and we take care of you throughout your visit.
